This page explains how to request deletion of your Dindin account and of all the data stored in it. You do not need to log in to use this page.
Before deleting: export your data
Deletion is permanent and irreversible — there is no deactivated account that can be recovered later. If you want to keep your records, open Dindin and use Settings → Export JSON before requesting deletion. The resulting file is yours, in an open and readable format.
Option 1 — from inside the app
- Open Dindin on your phone or at app.dindin.cafelabs.net and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Deletion starts right away and cannot be undone.
Can't find that option in the version of the app you're using? Use Option 2 below — it works just as well.
Option 2 — by email, no app access needed
Write to privacidade@cafelabs.net from the email address registered on your account, asking for deletion. You do not have to give a reason.
Requests are answered within 15 days, as required by the Brazilian data protection law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018).
If you can't write from the registered email address, say in the message which one it is. We may need to confirm the account is yours before deleting it — precisely to stop someone else from erasing your data.
What gets deleted
Everything Dindin stores about you:
- Your login account — email, password and, if you signed in with Google, the link to that Google account.
- All your envelopes ("caixinhas"), including name, limit, goal and settings.
- All recorded income entries.
- All allocations and transfers between envelopes.
- All expenses.
- All subscriptions.
- All installment purchases.
- All balances — the account balance and every envelope balance.
None of it becomes a deactivated account that can be reopened later, and none of it is handed over to anyone else.
What still remains, and why
- Infrastructure backups: copies already taken expire within the provider's cycle of up to 30 days and are not restored. After that cycle, no copy of your data remains.
- A record that the deletion happened: only the fact that a deletion occurred is kept, without your personal data, for 5 years, to prove compliance with the law.
Dindin is not a financial institution, issues no tax documents and records no regulated transaction — so there is no legal obligation to retain your financial records, and a deletion request is honoured in full.
